PCL is a British company for air technilogy in Sheffield UK with a proud tradition. We redesigned the visual appearance of PCL, making it clearer and more modern. Theoretical and creative basics such as font consistency, layout grids and symbols were used to show a visual affiliation towards the HORN GROUP. We also implemented the various media of the new brand identity. Amongst these was the redesign of the packaging, which together with the design and brand endorser “A HORN GROUP Company” again cements the common bond.The new packaging, with black and white as base colors, allows for differentiation in the function of the product. We also developed a detailed manual, to allow for implementation on-site.
The new brand identity of PCL first became publicly visible at the 2012 “Automechanika” in Frankfurt, where PCL was part of the exhibition stand of HORN TECALEMIT. Both brands integrated seamlessly within the overall corporate design of the HORN GROUP.The strategic balance between brand independence and a wider corporate affiliation was optimally achieved, especially when compared to other brands presented at the fair.The effective collaboration with PCL made the implementation of the corporate design possible within only three months.
