MTU FRIEDRICHSHAFEN

MTU Friedrichshafen is one of the world's leading manufacturers of large diesel engines and complete drive systems for ships, heavy road and rail vehicles and industrial drives. MTU commissioned us with the development of a new trade fair concept and trade fair communication. aPLEX designed architectural elements that give the large engines to be displayed the appropriate framework and act as a "design bracket" at various trade fairs. In addition to creating an appropriate presentation framework for the large engines, our task was to staging the growing importance of MTU service and consumables.

For various trade fairs worldwide, in Germany for example on Agritechnika, Bauma, SMM ship fair or Innotrans, PLEXGROUP first developed the key visual. In addition, programmed animations of the reference objects of MTU were created. In order to express the service topic, we designed an interactive LifeCycle application. On a touch screen, visitors were able to access information on MTU service reports according to the particular phase of a motor's life cycle. The exhibited engines were equipped with iPads. The applications with technical information shown there were designed and programmed by us.

The trade fair appearances convinced with their clear structure and a balanced mix between real exhibits and digital applications.
